How Aslan's pay features work (and what they mean for your payslip)

Aslan gives you flexible ways to manage your pay, your way, but we know it's helpful to understand exactly what each feature does and how (or whether) it shows up on your payslip. Here's a quick guide:

🟢 You're always in control

All of Aslan's pay management features are completely optional. You can enjoy the app, earn Roarward™ points, browse the marketplace and recognise great work all without any impact on your payslip at all. You only see a payslip change if you actively choose to turn on On-Demand Pay or set up a Set & Spend.

⚡ On-Demand Pay (ODP): access pay before payday

If you choose to enable On-Demand Pay, you can access a portion of what you've already earned before the usual payday. Aslan shows you an available-to-spend balance of up to 30% of what you've earned so far this pay period (for those on a fixed salary).

If you spend some or all of this balance using your Aslan card, the amount you spent will appear as a deduction on your next payslip.

If you don't spend it, nothing is deducted, any unused balance simply resets on payday or at the start of the next pay period.

In short: with ODP, your payslip is only impacted by what you actually spend.

🎯 Set & Spend (S&S): allocate part of your pay in advance

If you set up a Set & Spend, you're choosing to allocate a fixed portion of your pay to spend on your Aslan card.

  • If you have a fixed salary: Your Set & Spend amount becomes available to spend on your Aslan card from payday onwards.

  • If you do not have a fixed salary: Your Set & Spend amount becomes available once your earnings have been approved.

In short: with S&S, you're deciding ahead of time how much of your pay to use with Aslan to budget and earn points on.
